EV Plug Europe, API-connected and in control

One of the biggest charging cable suppliers in the Netherlands, integrated through our API, with a hybrid split across two warehouses.

From a webshop under construction to one of the biggest in the Netherlands

EV Plug Europe supplies charging equipment for electric cars: charging cables and the accessories that go with them. They came to us in 2020, while the webshop was still being built, stepping into a market that was about to grow very fast. Today they are one of the biggest suppliers of charging cables in the Netherlands.

We have handled their fulfilment since before the first order shipped.

Three routes to market, one stock location

EV Plug sells through their own webshop, to consumers and to business customers, and through external platforms alongside it. Those channels carry different packing rules, different delivery promises and different labelling requirements, and they all draw on the same stock in Ridderkerk.

The customer picks the carrier, and the pickup point

Something you do not often see happens at EV Plug's checkout: the customer chooses which carrier delivers the order, and can send it to a pickup point instead of a home address.

That choice is only worth offering if it survives the trip to the warehouse. It arrives with the order and we ship exactly what was selected, with the right carrier to the right destination. No falling back to a default carrier, and nobody re-keying an address by hand.

Connected through our API

EV Plug is integrated with our system through our API rather than a fixed, off-the-shelf connection. They decide which orders to push, when, and with which instructions attached.

That distinction carries more weight than it sounds like it should. A standard integration decides the flow for you. An API leaves that control with the seller, and it is exactly what makes the next part possible.

A hybrid setup, because not all stock belongs in the same place

Fast-moving products sit with us, where volume and same-day dispatch are the whole point. Slower-moving items stay in EV Plug's own warehouse, where holding them costs them very little and picking the occasional order is no problem.

One catalogue, two locations, and the API decides which orders come to us. Most fulfilment relationships are all-or-nothing. This one is not, and both sides are better off for it.

Since 2020

We have grown with EV Plug from a webshop under construction to one of the biggest names in its market, through a rapidly expanding sector and an increasingly demanding mix of channels. Orders placed before 23:00 still leave the same day.
