DPD

DPD in brief

DPD operates in more than 40 countries and holds a strong position in Europe. It runs its own distribution centres, so shipments stay inside one network instead of being handed between parties.

Why webshops choose DPD

Europe as home market. If you sell mainly within Europe, DPD puts you in a network built for exactly that.

Shipments stay in one chain. Own distribution centres means fewer handover points, and handover points are where shipments lose time.

Pre-notification through the API. DPD offers an API that lets parcels be announced while they are still being packed, so the shipment is known before it is physically collected.

Transparency both ways. You and your customer both see where a parcel is.

How DPD shipments run here

The order reaches our WMS through your sales channel. We pick with a barcode check per item, pack as compactly as the product allows and generate the DPD label while packing. The tracking link goes back to the channel automatically.

If you sell inside and outside Europe, we combine DPD with a carrier that reaches further. We will price out what works out cheapest per destination.

To see what happens between order and handover, look at Shipping. For shipments that come back, Returns is the starting point.
